Reuters Photo: The Hidden Picasso at the Museo Guggenheim Bilbao

A HIDDEN PICASSO, an exhibition at the Museo Guggenheim Bilbao in 2004-2005, featured a “secret” painting from 1900 by Pablo Picasso, recreated in color with x-radiography and digital enhancement, by Will Shank and Tim Svevonius of SFMOMA.  It was first mounted in collaboration with the staff of the Guggenheim, and subsequently presented as a didactic exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in 2007.
